Getting accolades from none other than Big B for her role in Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, actress Meera Vasudevan who was mired in controversy recently, seems to be a happy girl these days. “After watching the film, Amitabhji said that I looked fresh and had done a great job,” she gushed excitedly.
The model turned actress who made her debut in Tamil with Unnai Saranadaidhen bagged a state award and later went into oblivion after her marriage with vishal, son of celebrated cinematographer Ashok Kumer.
“Now, the problems have been sorted out and I hope to get a divorce soon. I am back here with a couple of good projects and I have also signed a Hindi film with John Abraham,” she revealed. Meera is also playing the role of an orphaned young collector who yearns for love in a film titled Neeye under Sivakumar Mohanan’s direction and she claims that it is a challenging role. “I am looking forward to my forthcoming Tamil film Katthi Kappal directed by Dinesh Selvaraj (Mani Ratnam’s assistant) and Malayalam film Gulmohar with award winning director Jayaraj,” she said.
