Jayam.Kondan is first K’wood flick shot in Uzbek
For the first time a Tamil movie Jayam Kondan has been shot in Uzbekistan. The lead pair Vinay and bhavana were in Uzbek recently and a song was canned at the backdrop of monuments for the film. “The days are longer than the nights in Uzbek and we have sunlight from 6 am to 10 pm. It was a great adantage for us and we completed the song in three days time althoguh we planned for a five days shoot,” says debutant director Kannan, a former associate of Maniratnam. Vinay plays the hero based in london and Bhavana enacts a village girl. The director also reveals that unlike other films where villages implied lush greenery, he has used a new colour scheme – a bright mirchi red backdrop as the heroine of selling red chillies. Produced by Sathyajothi Thiagarajan, the film is slated for relese on August 29.
