Pondy CM in limbo?

Aug.21: The political crisis in Puducherry has deepened with the Congress leaders opposed to chief minister N.Rangasamy moving the party MLAs and three independent MLAs to an undisclosed location following fears of horse-trading. The beleagured chief minister accused of working only for his Thattanchavady constituency, is facing a revolt with his party men demanding his removal. The rebels fear that he may try to win over the MLAs to his side.
Sources said the MLAs would be paraded before the party high command during the Congress legislature party meeting on Monday to strengthen their demand for sucking Rangasamy from the chief minister’s post.
The rebels are said to be pressuring Rangasamy to step down ahead of the CLP meeting. A ‘Nammasivayam congress MILA from Ozhukarai and son in law of the chief minister’s elder brother has joined the rebel camp. This has come as a severe blow to Rangasamy, who was confident that Namasivayam would come to his rescue. Representatives of Rangasamy tried to meet Namasivayam at a five star hotel in Chennai to seek his support. But they returned empty handed as the rebel camp had moved him to another location
